((I know I said I'd start it in January, but a few days early can't hurt!  It's not like I'm making the end date any sooner, it's still going to be the same date it was before.
SO.

As the title of this journal implies, to enter the contest you must make a citizen from the Owl Kingdom! : D  But first it might help if you knew a little more about the citizens and junk. vuv;
The owl kingdom is basically a giant hollowed out tree.  The more higher up you live, the richer your family is generally.  I'm just going to put this out there, but the Owl Kingdom certainly isn't sugar and rainbows.  Just like many of the species of owls in the real world, many citizens of the Owl Kingdom are cannibals.  It is not encouraged in the Kingdom, but there are many traditions that involve it (it would be considered to be a felony if done in a non traditional way dskajfslgd), which leads into why many of the higher ups were only children.  It is normally the oldest son that will eat younger, weaker siblings when the tradition is enforced.  Now all of you reading this is probably thinking something like "oMG MIRANDA WHY DID YOU MAKE THIS SO DARK OWLIE IS SO DESU I THOUGHT THIS WOULD BE ABOUT SPARKLEZ"
EHEHE IM SORRY OKAY.  IT'S NATURE
Okay now that that's out of the way, lET'S TALK ABOUT LIGHTER THINGS.
Owl peoplez do NOT have hair.  Growing from their head, is feathers, so there is not a very wide variety of 'hair' lengths among the people, as feathers do not continue to grow like hair does.  Generally their 'hair' only gets as long as Owlies.  Owls only grow feathers on their head, and on their wings, with the exception of very few males having neck feathers, (which is considered to be very attractive, and prettyful<3  Also why it's a common fashion trend for both male and female owls not blessed with them to wear feathers around their neck like a clothing item).
Commonly Owl People will wear feathers of the deceased, or their own feathers that they lost due to an INJURY(not molted feathers, they think those are yucko.  unless they want to be yuckos ehe)  A common job in the kingdom goes to designers, dying and turning the feathers into a clothing item.  So if one really wanted, they could make the feathers as un-natural as hotpink.  A lot of the feathery pieces of clothing easily become heirlooms in a family, Like Owlies feathery neck collar thing.

Really you can make your Owl Citizen of any occupation, age, gender, etc you want!  Just take into fact some of the things I've said, ehe. vuv;
Just be sure to include a picture of your oc, and a short bio<3
